For the Metropolitan Police Meyertech supplied the largest integrated analogue video routing system the United Kingdom has ever seen.
Known as the ICCS project (Integrated Command and Communications System) the system is part of the Metropolitan Police Service’s (MPS) C3i programme which routes thousands of images from cameras all over the capital to over one thousand Emergency call handling positions in MPS command centres.
Meyertech was originally founded in 1991 by the current MD, Stuart Meyers.
In 1996 Meyertech Limited became Meyertech a division of Westinghouse Corporation having established itself as a significant supplier of CCTV systems to the Public Space and HM Prison markets.
By the autumn of 1997 Westinghouse had itself been aqcuired by Orbis plc. Meyertech returned to private limited status in February 2000 following a management buyout.
Today, following a move in 2010 to new purpose-built high-tech facilities in Manchester continues to lead the way in VMS design, development and solution delivery.
